The characteristic zigzag pattern originates probably from the Irish Aran-Islands. The Irish fishermen’s wives made the warm jumpers with this pattern for their husbands. Our Aran jumper is very warm too, because it’s knitted with an extra portion of fine merino wool. The large meshes and the voluminous knit encloses small air cushions, which act additionally insulating. That’s what makes our Aran jumper definitely an all-weather jumper for colder days. Sleeves and body with ribbed cuffs and a classic round neck.
